1. What CrossMarket Compare Does

CrossMarket Compare helps users compare product search results across marketplaces such as Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop. When a user searches on a supported marketplace, the extension detects the search term and shows comparable marketplace results in a side panel.

2. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use the extension, we may process the following information:

• Marketplace search context: the marketplace you are using, the search keyword or product title, the page type, and the current marketplace URL.
• Extension settings: backend URL, selected region, sort preference, and affiliate configuration that you choose to save.
• Affiliate settings: affiliate IDs, sub IDs, campaign IDs, or deeplink templates that you enter into the extension settings.
• Technical data: basic server logs such as request time, requested endpoint, IP address, browser user agent, and error logs, if the backend service is hosted publicly.

We do not intentionally collect payment card numbers, marketplace passwords, authentication cookies, private messages, or checkout information.

3. How We Use Information

We use information only to provide and improve the extension, including to:

• detect the current marketplace search or product context;
• request comparable product results from supported marketplace APIs, product feeds, or affiliate tools;
• sort and display comparison results in the extension side panel;
• generate or append affiliate tracking information to product links;
• remember user settings; and
• maintain security, diagnose errors, and prevent abuse.

4. Local Storage and Sync Storage

The extension may store settings using browser storage, including Chrome storage. Some settings may sync through the browser account if browser sync is enabled. These settings can include your selected region, backend URL, sort preferences, and affiliate configuration.

5. Backend Processing

The extension sends the detected marketplace, search keyword, selected region, and sort option to the configured backend service so the backend can fetch comparable product results. Do not enter secrets into the extension unless you understand where they are stored. API secrets should be stored only on the backend, not inside the browser extension.

6. Third-Party Services

CrossMarket Compare may interact with third-party marketplace, affiliate, hosting, analytics, or infrastructure services. These may include Shopee, Lazada, TikTok Shop, cloud hosting providers, and domain or security providers. These third parties process information according to their own privacy policies and terms.

7. Affiliate Disclosure

Some product links shown by CrossMarket Compare may include affiliate tracking parameters. If a user clicks an affiliate link and makes a qualifying purchase, the operator of CrossMarket Compare may receive a commission at no extra cost to the user.

8. Sharing of Information

We do not sell personal information. We may share information only as needed to:

• provide the product comparison and affiliate link features;
• use third-party APIs, affiliate networks, hosting, or security services;
• comply with legal obligations or valid legal requests;
• protect our rights, users, and services; or
• transfer the service as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

9. Data Retention

Extension settings remain stored until you change them, clear browser storage, uninstall the extension, or disable browser sync. Backend logs, if enabled, are retained only as long as reasonably necessary for security, debugging, and service operation.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. Public backend services should be served over HTTPS. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Your Choices

You can:

• change or delete extension settings in the options page;
• clear browser extension storage;
• disable or uninstall the extension; and
• contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of information we may hold about you.

12. Children's Privacy

CrossMarket Compare is not intended for children under 13 years old, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

13. International Users

If you use CrossMarket Compare from outside the country where the service is operated, your information may be processed in other countries where our service providers or infrastructure are located.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
